To Quote Miley Cyrus...

Alert the media. I am quoting Miley Cyrus.
There are many different pop singers who are basking in the limelight right now. Some of them I like, some of them I don't.
I have written many times in my blog about my personal desires to have the biggest career in the music industry as possible. In other blogs I've gone into detail about why I have written the songs I have written. I have snubbed my Greek little nose at those individuals who have gotten roles I've auditioned for and didn't get and those people who are now singing in places I want to sing. But it is all good.
The one thing I do know is that I am exactly where I am supposed to be - both career wise and in my personal life, according to God's plans. His plans are the only plans I truly care to worry about anyway. Do I wish I was planning on going to the upcoming Grammy Awards because I was nominated for Best Female Artist of the Year? Heck yes. Do I wish I was selling more CD's than Lady Gaga - heck yes on that too. But You know what? I am not worried because I know my time is coming and I am absolutely loving "the climb" to the top!
The process of what it takes to become a successful actress/recording artists is not easy. And I can't believe I am going to quote Miley Cyrus, but in her song "The Climb" the lyrics really say it all.
The Climb
I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"
Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going
And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!
Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Until a person becomes a household name in the entertainment industry, it really is all about the pursuit and how you handle it.  Some people buckle under the pressure, others give up. Not me, I blog about it. I am a tough Greek chick and the reason I work out and run so much is because of the so-called climb. I want to be ready for my close-up Mr. Demille.
I love the fact that because of my blog I no longer feel like I am making the climb by myself anymore. My blog has attracted so much attention I now have thousands of new friends lacing up their new sneakers each day with me as they read it and share my daily muckery with me.
So yes, I am using the words of a Miley Cyrus song to make a point today. But I want to say that I am not a huge Miley Cyrus fan.  Personally I think she is a little misguided in the way she has handled her career. She needs Mr. Bricks to rattle her noggin a bit and put her on the straight and narrow. As the character of Hanna Montana she had millions and millions of young girls looking to her as a role model and I think she has let them down terribly. She had a responsibility and she failed. That mentoring is the one part of fame I look forward to.
Thanks for making this climb with me!
Blessings,
Ava
